To help attract the best and brightest students to the field of information technology and telecommunications, the Nortel Institute offers both graduate and undergraduate scholarships.

The University of Toronto Nortel Institute Undergraduate Scholarship
As part of the Institute’s establishment, Nortel Networks, again with matching funds from the University and the Government of Ontario, has endowed a permanent scholarship in support of undergraduate students in the Faculties of Applied Science and Engineering, Arts and Science, and Management.

One award a year with a projected value of approximately $5,000 is made to an outstanding student in accordance with the University's policy on student awards.

The University of Toronto Nortel Institute Graduate Scholarship for Telecommunications
As part of the establishment of the Nortel Institute, Nortel Networks made a generous contribution which was matched dollar for dollar by both the University of Toronto and the Government of Ontario, under its Ontario Student Opportunity Trust Fund, to endow a scholarship fund. This endowment supports a permanent Nortel Institute Graduate Scholarship for Telecommunications at the University.

The award has an approximate value of approximately $15,000 and is made to outstanding students in the Nortel Institute's Master of Engineering in Telecommunications program. For more information, contact the School of Graduate Studies.
