Master of Engineering in Telecommunications
The Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Telecommunications is a 12- to 14-month full-time program and a 24-month part-time program focuses on the education of new generations of researchers, managers, engineers and entrepreneurs. The program is designed and supervised by international experts in the broad field of telecommunications, including network architecture, optoelectronics, digital signal processing, wireless communications and hardware and software design.

The Institute further advances this program through the Nortel Networks Scholarship Program, which offers financial aid to graduate students in the M.Eng. program and in undergraduate electrical and computer engineering programs.


Executive Development Program
This short course is designed for the networking and information technology professional to understand the forces that are driving dramatic restructuring in the networking industry.


Foreign Officers Program
To maintain and enhance Canada’s international leadership in telecommunications, the Institute is developing a Foreign Officers Program to showcase Canadian expertise and promote trade.


Specialized seminars
The Institute is committed to supporting industry and to developing two-way communications between advanced education and industry. Seminars specially designed by Institute experts to address specific problems in industry are an ideal vehicle by which to transfer technology and identify future training directions.


Undergraduate education
The Institute’s Open Research Facility, a unique, integrated facility designed to support and facilitate very large, cross-disciplinary research projects, is utilized by senior undergraduates in the University’s expanded electrical and computer engineering program. The Nortel Scholarship Program also offers undergraduate awards.
